Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How will an employer contact me after I’ve applied for a job on Hippo?

A. When you apply for a job on Hippo, the employer is sent an online application that includes a resume built from the details you have entered in your job profile.

Included in your job profile are contact details, which at the very least will include your user name, which is your email address. If you have entered a phone number or postal address you may be contacted by phone or snail mail as an alternative to email. It can also be a good idea to contact an employer 2-3 days after you have sent your application - it shows that you are keen and proactive. However please note that you may not always receive a response to your application, depending on the policies and procedures of specific employers.

After you have applied for a job on hippo.com.au, click on View open applications under Job Applications on My Job Centre to go back and check the jobs you have applied for.
